Composite Classes

Children from 4 years to 6 years old are taught together in Y.1/2. Much can be gained from this approach as quite often the Y.1 children discover and learn additional information by listening to and observing Y.2 activities. These children may also find themselves in the same room as an older brother / sister / cousin, which in turn helps them to settle down in their new surroundings and helps to provide a more secure atmosphere.

Religious Education

Whole school assemblies are held once a week, with Ministers from the local area invited to speak to the children. In compliance with Education Reform Order (1998) parents have the right to withdraw their child from R.E. classes or collective worship, and requests should be made, in writing, to the Principal.
